Kent Kopen is a professional financial educator and wealth strategist who helps clients avoid unnecessary wealth transfers when they buy, sell, or refinance real estate. He also advises them in the optimization, protection, and empowerment of their human, intellectual, and financial assets – thus providing greater clarity, balance, focus, and confidence.
Mr. Kopen was raised in Denver, Colorado and received his undergraduate Engineering degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder. After that, he spent ten years project managing multi-million dollar commercial construction projects; this experience developed and refined his leadership and systems skills.
In 1993, Kent transitioned into residential real estate finance where he has been an owner/manager and has held sales, sales management, and executive leadership positions with small to large publicly-traded mortgage lenders. As a Reverse Mortgage Specialist, Kent helps seniors realize their full potential by helping them go from financial scarcity to security and abundance. He also teaches and helps client/advisors implement equity-based philanthropic and charitable gifting programs.
Mr. Kopen received his MBA in Finance from the University of Southern California (USC) where he graduated with honors. He also holds real estate licenses in both Colorado and California, is a Quadrant Living Specialist, Certified Liability Advisor, Certified Mortgage Advisor, and Reverse Mortgage Specialist.
